Kristopher Kruse
Sergeant, Founder
Kris is a Florida raised, avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending time with friends. He currently serves as a Police Sergeant in Central Florida, where he discovered his passion for instructing and recognized the need for higher-quality training within law enforcement.
Driven by that commitment, he founded First Class Training with the philosophy of “training by cops, for cops.” His goal is simple: ensure every participant leaves his classes with valuable skills, practical knowledge, and a renewed dedication to the profession. Kris is proud to share his experience and passion for law enforcement with those who step into his classroom.
Rob Corbett
Former LEO, Practicing Attorney
Rob is a New York native who relocated his family to Central Florida after retiring from the NYPD with over 25 years of law enforcement experience. He currently serves as general counsel for a police department in Central Florida, where he supports officers and leadership on legal and policy matters.
As a practicing attorney, Rob brings a unique perspective to training, helping officers better understand the legal foundations behind modern policing. He is passionate about law enforcement education and is proud to share his knowledge to help officers make informed, confident decisions in the field.
eremy Gustafson
Corporal, K9 Handler
Jeremy “Gus” Gustafson is an active police corporal in Central Florida with over 17 years of law enforcement experience. Throughout his career, he has worked as a K9 handler with multiple partners and remains actively involved in K9 operations and instruction.
As a certified K9 instructor, Gus has trained and mentored prospective handlers, focusing on real-world application and officer safety. He is committed to sharing his experience with officers who are currently assigned to K9 units or preparing to become their agency’s next handler.
